Announcing JASNA-Idaho's 20th Annual Tea

The Idaho Region will celebrate the anniversary of Jane Austen's birth at its 20th annual tea on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  The tea, which will be held at Boise's Grove Hotel, will begin at 11:00 a.m.  (Doors will open at 10:15 a.m.)

Carrie Bebris will be our speaker.  Her presentation is titled "We Met by Appointment:   Dueling and the Code of Honor in Jane Austen's Time.  Bebris is the award-winning author of the Mr. and Mrs. Darcy Mystery series.  Her novels have earned starred reviews from Publisher's Weekly, Library Journal, and other publications.  Carrie was honored as the 2013 featured author by the Sheboygan Mead Public Library, which selected The Deception at Lyme for its biannual Community Read.  Carrie also writes for Jane Austen's Regency World magazine and speaks nationally about Jane Austen, writing and publishing.

Books and gift items will be available for purchase at the tea.  Several baskets will be raffled, and raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.
